A Guide to Classic and Plus Stiltz Homelifts

At Multicare, we have a selection of Stiltz homelifts available, and they come in a number of varieties. They can be broken down into Stiltz Duo and Stiltz Trio models, with duos being suitable for up to two people; and trio being suitable for up to three people, a wheelchair or a walking frame.

But there are two types of models for each, coming under the banners of ‘Classic’ and ‘Plus’. So what are the tangible differences between the two types, and how will they affect your decision when you decide which homelift to choose?

What’s the Difference Between Classic and Plus?

The most apparent difference is the appearance between the ‘Classic’ and ‘Plus’ models. The ‘Classic’ model is the more traditional model which is tried and tested, and has also remained popular throughout the years. It features an all-white exterior design, with a beige-coloured interior lining.

In comparison, the ‘Plus’ model features a sleek style which takes up slightly less room whilst not sacrificing interior space. It also features a clear backing, ensuring that light can reach every part of your room, even behind the homelift. The clear backing allows to your homelift blend in more seamlessly with your home.

Featuring a more modern and more modest design, the ‘Plus’ does come with a slightly higher price tag. It is the more recent of the Stiltz homelift range, and the appearance of your homelift will probably be a large consideration when it comes to choosing between ‘Classic’ and ‘Plus’.

Both model types feature a number of similar benefits too, including the ability to be installed in a wide number of areas of your home, and also taking up a small overall footprint. There are also technical similarities, including a half-height door, internal LED downlights and a battery back-up system. Both models are available with additional features such an in-car seat, an interior grab rail and bespoke colours & finishes.

Choose Between Stiltz Duo and Trio Homelifts

In addition to deciding between the features and benefits of the ‘Classic’ and ‘Plus’ models, the size of the homelift may also come into the equation too. We’ve put together a full breakdown on the differences between Stiltz Duo and Stiltz Trio homelifts, but the main difference between the two is the load and space capacity. The Duo model can carry up to two people, whereas the Trio can fit three people, or a wheelchair/walking frame. So when it comes to choosing a Stiltz homelift from Multicare, the size requirements come into consideration alongside the design.
